The rule of thirds is something you think about when taking a picture, in order to make a picture aesthetically pleasing you need to make it in a third of the picture or on a line that intersects with another line. I know that this is a great example of leading line because it leads the eye up or down diagonally. The difference between Vector and Raster is that Vector is more clean at the sides and Raster is more pixelated. Vector is commonly used for logos, charts and icons because of the clean cut edges it makes so the logos and charts look more professional and tidy.
