Thoughts Before Work 2. SheCon ’12 Re-Cap. June 7, 2012. So….almost 2 weeks ago I attended SheCon ’12. I am officially a SheCon “Founder,” meaning I was present at the very first conference, held last year in Miami. When I found out it would be in Orlando in 2012, my first question was “Where do I sign up? 8221; Because of my work schedule and my need to save up days off (working moms, those personal days you earn each paycheck are more valuable than gold, no? But I rarely use it. Aliza Sherman. The pane...

How my best friend’s wedding saved my life |

How my best friend’s wedding saved my life. November 16, 2013 in Motherhood. Having a baby is hard. I’m sure it was hard with my first one but, now that he’s three, when I look back I just remember the good stuff. It’s taken me a while to write this because it’s taken me a while to be able to think clearly enough to look back and know what was going on. I was a mess. I don’t know if it was...It was the middle of th...

To Be Determined. . . Entries Tagged 'general frustration' ↓. And then there are days I hate technology. July 24th, 2013 — general frustration. I know just enough code to be dangerous. I know where to change things. In general I know where to look to find things I need to make the changes I want. Unfortunately I do not always know how to fix said things when they go wrong. This generally results in 500 errors and frustration and phone calls that I know my more knowledgeable friends hate. Halfway decent m...

Food for Thought (literally) |

Food for Thought (literally). April 5, 2013 in Uncategorized. Today Kate told me I have an eating disorder. I find that amusing because I eat a bagel sandwich a day and probably a pint of ice cream a week. In fact I want both and some pickles right now. It’s more about how I view my changing body and how my mind resembles the mind of someone afflicted with a disorder. Yes I am almost 30 weeks pregnant, and despite the fact that the scale hasn’t changed in weeks, I feel enormous! So what is my deal here?
