I need to water heavily every couple of days. The upside is that there are almost no mosquitoes, unlike the past two years when it was almost impossible to venture into the garden, even in bright sunlight. July 16, 2016. Despite the munching of the Woodchuck, I picked my first Zucchini today. July 16, 2016. A cou...

The Tomatillo plants grew very well and were without any problems. They didn’t have any dying branches because of too much rain and no bug issues. Horseradish roots after a couple hours of washing. It is fortunate that Easter is late this year, because with the lingering cold weather, I would never have gotten the Horseradish out of the ground if Easter had been much earlier. I did the digging on Holy Thursday and the weather was around 60 which made the digging and washing a little easier.

Living the American dream locally! Thursday, August 19, 2010. Run For Your Life! Isn't it amazing how the life experiences we have in our teen years can effect our self esteem for the rest of our adult lives? Like many people, my defining moments were in gym class.
